Happenings Network Independent publishing
Wave 1 properties live

A network of focused recommendation brands.

Happenings Network builds digital publishing properties around rigorous buyer's research. Each brand synthesizes expert sources, owner feedback, and market context into clear, honest purchase guidance. Tightly scoped niches, distinct editorial voices, and a shared research infrastructure that improves with every property added.

01

Research-first, not review-first

Every property is built around buyer's guidance grounded in systematic research. We synthesize expert sources, real owner feedback, and market context, not firsthand testing claims we can't honestly make.

02

Shared platform, distinct brands

Each site has its own niche and editorial identity. All of them run on a common research and publishing infrastructure that improves with every property added.

03

Deliberate expansion

New brands launch in waves, after the current platform proves itself. Quality thresholds gate each wave, not timelines.

How we work

The research model

Every property in the network is built on the same research methodology. We don't claim firsthand testing. We claim something more scalable and arguably more useful: a systematic process for aggregating what expert sources, real owners, and the broader market actually say about a product, and translating that into clear purchase direction.

The process was built by a software developer and technology consultant with a decade as CTO of a large e-commerce platform and several years inside the programmatic advertising industry. That background informs the approach directly: understanding how online product marketing is constructed, how review ecosystems get shaped, and how pricing signals get manufactured is what makes it possible to cut through them.

Each recommendation is the output of a structured research pipeline, not an opinion, not a sponsored placement, not a best-guess ranking. The methodology is documented on each site.

The network

Built to scale across niches.

The network launches with two Wave 1 properties and expands in planned waves across audio, gaming, food, drink, and more — each site sharing infrastructure while standing on its own editorially.

Metafete

Metafete is a gift wishlist and exchange coordination platform built alongside the content network. It handles the other half of the buying decision: once someone knows what they want, Metafete is where they track it, share it, and coordinate who is buying what.

The platform supports personal wishlists, gift tracking for others, and structured gift exchanges with claim mechanics to prevent duplicate purchases. Product links are automatically enriched with affiliate tracking and Open Graph metadata at the point of save.

Metafete operates at metafete.com under the Happenings Network LLC entity. It shares affiliate monetization infrastructure with the content network and is designed to integrate directly with Happenings Network buyer's guidance content as the network grows.
